I think it is postpartum anxiety (baby is 3 months old) and I did have postpartum depression before, with my fourth. I also have thyroid problems and have had thyroid induced depression too, so I know I am susceptible.I hate this. Today I feel like I don't know who I am, I want to run away, and I don't want to do anything but sit or sleep. :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656480572386945481.post-68494692102529125962011-02-25T19:58:50.423-08:002011-02-25T19:58:50.423-08:00Yes, dizziness was definitely one of my major symp...Yes, dizziness was definitely one of my major symptoms. There were days when I literally had trouble lifting my head from my pillow because the room would start spinning. PPD can have some seemingly crazy, unrelated symptoms, but they're all connected to the root cause, which is depression. Some doctors just focus on the various symptoms and end up making a misdiagnosis because they don't understand depression and how it can impact different people in different ways.

However, I'm obviously not a medical professional, so you definitely want to have your doctor check out any possibility that could be triggering your dizziness, along with the possibility of depression. I really hope things get better for you!!Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00979431406238988214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656480572386945481.post-3206765726218536032011-02-17T13:19:35.789-08:002011-02-17T13:19:35.789-08:00I found it interesting that one of your symptoms w...I found it interesting that one of your symptoms was dizziness. I have been feeling lightheaded/dizzy for 3 weeks nonstop. My doc did not think it was ppd but after talking to a nurse who specializes in this, she believes it might be. I'm still unsure who to believe.
Did you feel like you couldn't focus, did it seem like your eyesight was off?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656480572386945481.post-56298247683959936782007-12-13T12:06:00.000-08:002007-12-13T12:06:00.000-08:00I checked out your site after reading your comment...I checked out your site after reading your comments on my story. I am so excited that people have you as a resource. This is a wonderful site and I am sure it helps many women.

I haven't read all of your story yet, but I really identified with what you said about your husband and parents not understanding. My husband was very much of the "get-over it" attitude. I am so sorry for you that your family was not supportive and you had to go through it all alone. Hopefully with more education and acknowledgment of PPD, people won't have that kind of attitude.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07540383147928120212noreply@blogger.com
